I haven’t really paid much attention to her career lately.

She’s delayed and stopped legislation that could genuinely help the American working class so her husband and her could inside trade on stocks to make themselves richer.

She is beyond cruel and evil.

      Yes, anything else?

I remember having bad feelings toward her due to her blood-soaked career. Anything specific?

      Damn, it’s been a while…

Apart from her pro imperialist existence? She’s speaker of the house right? She’s enabled nearly every blood soaked endeavor America has engaged in recently right?

I think a easier question is “as communists if we view her through our lens, what hasn’t she done to ruin the lives of human beings?”

        The answer: nothing.

I’d say no, the other purpose of their account was to try and build a rapport as a real leftist but could no longer keep up the charade when we all attacked their lib fash queen Nancy.

If Reagan were alive today he’d be a Democrat. That’s how far right American politics as a whole have shifted in the last generation or two. So it’s not so strange that modern Reaganites are Dems, and that the Republicans hate them.

Even Nixon was well to the left of most Democrats on some issues. He was mostly evil, but some of his proposed policies were way better than anything the DNC talks about even now.

I was listening to a Ben Norton and Aaron Good podcast recently and they mentioned a Chomsky quote along the lines of “Nixon was the last liberal president.” His presidency marked the shift to neoliberalism among other things.

In general “mostly evil” is about as benevolent as one can expect a US president to be.

She puts on a veneer of being “for the people” despite the fact that she was and still is a devoted Reaganite.

She’s the face of the failures of the Democratic Party over the last 20-30 years. I guess she tried to get single payer healthcare through in the 90s, but I don’t know of anything else remotely positive she’s done.

A vast majority of American politicians are outright scum though, I don’t even pay attention to the ins and outs of it anymore. It’s basically just like a reality show.

“She tried to get it through” but she didn’t try very hard. She’s loves engaging in performative politics while doing nothing to cause substantive change. She’ll wear an African scarf while she votes for more police.

True. I don’t know how serious she was about it. Some politicians do mean well at some point but they all get corrupted under capitalism.

And here I thought Obama was the main culprit in the Democratic failures in this century.

The power is in Congress. The president is mostly a figurehead. Pelosi killed single payer healthcare, and then she lost the house anyways.

Yeah but condemning trump is hardly a high bar for decency, like its the bare minimum to consider yourself not a moron. She doesn’t get praise for doing the bare minimum.

Besides you must realise that the dems and republicans are literally the same social class larping as opposition? Like Labour and conservatives, materially they both maintain a status quo, a status quo that enables systemic bigotry against women, BAME, Queer etc.

Women lost abortion rights under the dems my dude, not republicans. They are the same monster just with two heads and different coloured ties.
