I really think ppl should use torrents, or webtorrent tools like https://instant.io/ for data. Torrents have fully solved the data distribution and availability problem… but since there’s no easy way to view torrents within a web browser, we’re stuck with the client server model, so we have to use these hosted sites.

Imgur is really bad, I’d recommend anything else, https://postimages.org/ is a decent one.

For markdown text, I like https://rentry.co/ , but for code other things are better.

    For little vids, streamable.

    For audio: https://sndup.net/ looks okay.

Imgur sucks. It’s trying to be a whole thing now. Use Lutim if you need to host an image. And for audio there’s funkwhale.

IPFS for all of them. You can use globalupload.io if you can’t pin them yourself.
