Firefly guys started a podcast. Im EATING
What? Where? What’s it called?
It’s called ‘Once we were Spacemen’
I found it in my random podcast app, likely available where all podcasts are distributed.
is this about Fringe? i bet it is
Don’t worry. Amazon will pick it up, ruin the new season, and cancel it again.
I just started rewatching sg-1 and I love every second of it
I love sg1!!! It’s a shame what they did with Atlantis and universe.
I liked Atlantis. Universe seemed to be barely connected in terms of story. I confess I watched like 2 episodes.
Atlantis was great.
Universe was amazing, and I’m still mad that they killed it on such a massive cliffhanger. Made me gunshy to this day, I don’t like watching shows until they’ve concluded. I will, but I don’t like it. Much rather find something that’s already wrapped up.
I really disliked the first few episodes of Universe. The Battlestar Galactica reboot’s grimdark edge was bleeding in very strongly. The show does mellow out on that as it goes. The basic character friction is still there, but toned way down and characters are usually finding common ground.
Well they’re literally in another galaxy, and at first they’re stranded there.
It does connect with Earth and SG1 characters guest star revert now and then.
Ofc it’s still not as Earthcentric as SG1 but
Heroes (Season 1)
And only, season 1
Writers strike decimated the show for sure. The scab writers wrecked the whole arc. 😅
Oh well. At least we got Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog from the strike.
Rewatching M.A.S.H. right now.
Edit: Wasn’t exactly niche back in the day, but I wonder how many people have watched it recently.
Goodbye, Farewell and Amen (the last episode) holds up well as some of the best TV ever made. They really ended on a high note unlike so many more modern series.
Ugh, such a fantastic show. Perfect balance of comedy and drama.
I own the Blu Ray set. Best TV in history.
I rewatch about once a year.
I’ve been watching MASH without the laugh track and actually find it a lot funnier and a lot darker. Recommended.
Finally a Farscape meme!
Pushing Daisies?
Ya beat me to it. 😝 Take my upvote and shove it in your piehole
And for me right now that show is Farscape. I don’t know if you can call it niche, but it certainly is not very well known where I live. And this show is frelling good. I love it! I love the story, I love the actors, I love all the costumes and puppets, the sets, the effects. It is better than most of the dren studios nowadays produce
Came here to mention Farscape! Best space opera ever made. Just ordered the bluray set. My first watch was about 15 years ago on a crappy laptop screen. I’ve heard the sound quality is improved drastically, even if the image quality not so much, it being an upscale rather than native 1080p
FarScape is a Henson Masterpiece. Actually rewatching that right now as well.
I loved farscape when I first watched it on an antenna, later when i watched the last season in a day and a half because netflix claimed they were removing it. I’d like to watch it again soon.

niche
(unless you’re meaning to refer to stargate atlantis 😅)

Warehouse 13!!!
Love that one so much, run a watchthru of the librarians into wh 13 into eureka once a year.
I have Warehouse 13 regularly going on reruns on some tv channel, Syfy maybe. I’m always rewatching it. I remember seeing a bunch of episodes of Eureka some many years ago, it was fun, but that one isn’t on the rerun list unfortunately.
There’s Grimm some times, but that one started going really bad after the initial season that were somewhat interesting and I lost interest and stopped wathing. There was also Sanctuary playing sometimes but it hasn’t aired in a long time.
Syfy is where they originally aired too IIRC
Isn’t that in the same universe as Eureka?
I am down for Eurekaverse.
I think that’s the show yeah. There’s 1 or 2 episodes with a croasover. But you wouldn’t notice what it is about without knowledge that that other series exist.
Just finished it recently, so good. It’s like a cross between X-Files and the Librarians. Plus Claudia reminds me of the hot topic emo chick loves of my youth.
There’s always a hot emo chick in all of these. And I’m here to get the crushes :D.
The Librarians is also fun, it was released a lot later. It seems there’s a new Librarians show starting or that has started.
Quantum Leap. Oh boy.
I’ll take this opportunity to push Patriot. The marketing on Amazon made it look like a standard propaganda show “good spy does bad things for good reasons” but it’s actually a black comedy that is beautifully critical of US intelligence and foreign covert action.
So, I have no idea why I decided to watch that, but man was it good.
Patriot is so good. As is the companion audio series the Integral Principles of the Structural Dynamics of Flow. You get it.
Remember starting this show but turning it off early in the first episode after he’s supposed to be in the Netherlands and the cop has “Polizei” on his uniform speaking German-ish.
Probably a pretty dumb reason to quit a show but I hate when they get simple stuff like that wrong
Jericho.
Better Off Ted and My Name is Earl…
Raising hope is a fantastic so-so spiritual successor of My Name Is Earl.
