In love with Syncthing. Does my keepass database across my servers / laptop / phone. Was using Bitwarden for that a while back but decided I’d rather self host and run my own backups, with blackjack and hookers.
Great for hosting roms on my server and pulling over to whatever device needs them.
Really depends on what you want out of the system, what you can spend and how much time you want to spend on it.
My old z390 itx system has a 16x PCIE to 4x m.2 card - leveraging an m.2 to 5x SATA adaptor with the built in SATA adaptors has given it plenty of space.
Considering I can grab m.2 to 6 SATA adaptors and fill the remainder of the slots that’s a decent chunk of drives from a single PCIE x16 slot.
Software is another kettle of fish and a good way to timesink, I’d rather not give too much of my personal experience as there are so many ways to skin that cat.
I love my rear view mirror being able to auto dim, not sure if that feature is in most cars but it’s saved my eyes a number of times now.
One of my many 60% boards has a split spacebar which I use as modifier / layer toggle. Been using 60% since the original KBC Poker; I should really design some printable cases now that I think of it.
The bur seed clover in my lawn, shits a nightmare to deal with. Dogs get the seeds in every inch of fur, spread it around the lawn and hack them up when grooming themselves.
It’s mostly under control after a few years of tackling it.

Files are written to boot by the nixos-infect script, then disappear after sometime… If the VM is shutdown / rebooted I get the previously displayed unrecoverable error screen.
Might be an easier way to achieve this.

Man I feel I’d almost wiped the debian install and added NixOS (nix package manager works fine under debian) using nixos-infect

Creating a browser from scratch is a monumental task, ladybird is such a project which has been in progress since ~2022, and will probably take another couple before it’s at beta. Optimistic release is 2028, or ~6 years of development.
I’ve moved to schizofox (NixOS) but there are plenty of other forks available which remove telemetry and other default behaviours from Firefox.
Chromium forks are another alternative however due to chromiums dominance in the browser space I’m reluctant to shoutout any forks.
Ditch GitHub start using codeberg.
Plenty of office alternatives, outlook is easily replaced (didn’t know outlook had banner ads until recently, what a shithole)
If you prefer vscode try codium, some plugins may be missing but so is lots of ms bloat. Kate is a stellar alternative too!

From memory a paper launch used to mean something that only existed on paper / a press launch; where no consumer could purchase the product. Considering stock quantities that GN has sourced for the US it’s near enough a paper launch.
Intel made some massive mistakes with their post 14nm nodes, they overextended and fell on their own sword.
Admittedly what Intel were aiming for with their “10nm” node had higher density than tsmc’s “7nm” (from memory), considering the timeframe that would have been another massive leap for Intel; and if they had pulled it off AMD would be struggling like the bulldozer days.
22nm to 14nm Intel were on fire, almost seemed untouchable for quite some time. X99 was (in my eyes) the biggest leap in the right direction and probably their best consumer platform ever released. Huge cache, moar cores, pcie lanes for days and a refresh on their latest node (6950x).
Computers is a fucking hot song, the drums are on point, the buildup and energy screeching about vr porn, the singularity and black holes until it all halts for a sax solo. Don’t forget 3G.
