Man, I hope there were some heavy repercussions for the person who did this. This isn’t funny, it’s just wasteful and mean-spirited.

I’m mostly just shocked that they thought it was a good idea for a prank in the first place.

The sad thing is poverty and hunger aren’t even remotely related to scarcity: it’s entirely a problem of distribution.

Even with blatant waste there’s more than enough to go around if society could be bothered with getting it to the areas and people in need.

Nah man do you know how hard is it to clean that? it would take weeks to completely remove it all, and the smell… ugh. This is not funny.

    This classic attention seeking.

The suffering they would be going through to clean everything by themselves would be a life long memory.

Someone mentioned having the kitchen cleaned with a toothbrush: have the kitchen cleaned with a tooth brush, twice, supervised and recorded, to have it published on the same medium these photos were posted.

And zero priviliges for 3 months, minimum.

This is a total and complete lack of respect towards pretty much everything.

Apparently they plastic wrapped the kitchen first, so clean up wasn’t an issue. The massive waste of food and plastic on the other hand…

Nutella is not food its just empty crap calories. Nothing of value was lost by tossing nutella, except for those poor palm trees but thats a whole different argument.

He apparently put plastic wrap over everything first, so it’s not quite as bad as it seems at first.

I think the waste of food is far more egregious than the clean up. and him plastic wrapping anything first doesnt make it any better. Just more wasteful.

Wasted? No Nutella was wasted in coating every surface. If there was any left over I’m sure he would have lathered another coat on. /j

It is near impossible for a consumer in the US to waste food.

This is because the massive amount of waste that’s produced by grocery stores makes any conversation of consumer waste a moot point.

In this instance, for example, if he didn’t use that Nutella, odds are it would wind up in the dumpster a few weeks later, still completely sealed and untouched by anyone.

          What a great argument

“its not waste cause it might have ended up in a dumpster eventually”

Also Nutella has a pretty long shelf life, so less likely to end up in a dumpster.

its also a weirdly popular product, meaning its even less likely to end up in the dumpster.

All of which just further proves how fucking stupid a comment @I_Has_A_Hat made was.

They may have a hat, but they clearly don’t have anything that matters underneath it.
