Mexico is interesting because the rebellions there seem much more localized, against local governments, while the federal government remains enormously popular and is seen as not really responsible for the conditions driving the rebellion. That’s my read following from the US, at least.

it’s an expected read from anyone outside of the country

the thing is the federal government is doing everything they can to maintain the current political party power, putting all into propaganda, social programs and big projects betting on oil

right now they are trying to hush a scandal related to the former President AMLO’s son

there is corruption at every level and no political party is exempt from it

When I say social programs I’m not saying these are bad, I’m saying they are another way to funnel money. Right now there are reports of people being registered as recipients but they don’t even know it.

the “scandal” is a whole nothingburger and speculation by media, getting a visa revoked by the US goverment does not mean anything at all, if anything it’s a good thing these days. i dont really give a damn about them but the media circus here is as bad as in the US.

having his visa revoked was just one of the things that came up

idk what to tell you, media will be media, but that does not mean the reports related to those exclusive contracts he got for his friend Amílcar are false
