trump just about is king in all but name:
    He stands above the law.
Holds his court with his chosen sycophants.
Writes edicts and decrees for those below him to live by.
Hands out pardons only to those who please him.
Takes “gifts” and makes them his personal property.
Claims his status to be divine and scolds religious leaders.
Demands to have a ballroom, and most likely wants another palace after that.
Erects monuments and renames buildings in his name.
Is normalizing that he does not have to leave his position.

So, yeah, when will he just claim the title of King to get it solidified?

well here’s my theory: if the reason it didn’t work is because you have a new king…well…what’s the new king’s role in civilized society?

To be a figurehead. They are seperate from the government for a reason (these days) and that keeps them independent. They do little for general society on the day-to-day, except for the tourism industry - others care a lot more about them than the Brits or Commonwealth do, but they do (or are meant to) be a moral compass for the population too. That’s how figureheads have always worked.

Hence why people get very upset when they act like normal people - e.g. the Diana/Camilla/Charles years of the Early 90s. Or even worse, Andrew. Presidents are political figurehead positions, which means they make decisions that affect the day-to-day running of the country. This can be good and bad. Good because things come from the top, but also bad because if that doesn’t work, the top is where the blame lies and there’s no way to remove the top person easily - in a constitutional monarchy, the prime minister/head of government, can be easily removed by a vote of no confidence. Whilst the Republic system works well if the President doesn’t have too much power, as was originally the case in the US for example and how it was set up, it becomes tyrannical if the President chooses to consolidate the power in the executive and, more importantly, is allowed to by the house - that’s what the English Civil War was all about (i.e. the King wanted all the power themselves and the Parliament said no). Notice the parallels to the current US.

Incorrect, see above. The role of a king in a civilized society is to be guillotined! Anything less is barbarism.

Shouldn’t the “republicans” and the 2A be having something to say about that? Or are they busy wiping gravy away with their novelty DOI napkins?

I’m sure the French regret the Statue of Liberty every day.

The 2A worshippers think, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” means precisely, “Ain’t nobody taking my guns” and no more. The orange shitstain’s regular attacks on the Constitution aren’t their problem, so long as they can use 1A to say they hate (n-word), and ‘keep’ their guns, rocket launchers, grenades, whatever.

The Republicans need to look up the basic definition of what republicanism actually is.

Tip: it is not being in favour of a monarch, i.e. a king

They view themselves as a new Rome, a republic on the verge of becoming an empire, and trump is their Caeser. They don’t care if he dies as soon as he’s done being useful to them, because they know the damage is done and Rome ain’t never gonna be a republic again.

Someone on X or Truth should float the idea to him to rename the USA the United States of Trump, so he will estrange a large chunk of his nationalist followers 😈
