Several different names for the 4 different countries it should split into.
Cascadia (obviously) - in the west border line is the Rockies.
Mississippi - all the flat corn states and those whose purpose comes from the river. Basically all the land between the Rockies and the Appalachians, but not including the great lakes states.
Southern states - all those East of the Appalachians but South of Virginia including Florida.
Northern states - all those North of Virginia and may include the lake states too but…
The lake states might just join Canada or go independent and call themselves Iroquois or something…
Alaska is Canadian, as it should be. Texas is Mexican (again), as it should be. Hawaii is now independent and tied to New Zealand, as it should be.

Ol’ Bone Spurs can shut the fuck up when it comes to anything military imo
Sourdough starter can be left for at least 2-3 weeks between feeds and it’ll perk right up again with a little love.
I blame the need for this on the Swedes and their worker-centric culture allowing for months off. USians would never have this problem with their maximum 2 weeks off. Take that Sweden!

You’re banned for life as Reddit mods are overzealous and refuse to change their minds. Ban evasion is on Reddit’s side and goes against their TOS. Might as well embrace the Lemmy life - it’s better here anyway and a lot less bots and reposts which was about 80% of Reddit now.
You can still use Reddit for looking up things, you’re just stuck being a permanent lurker - which many do anyway.

As an Australian, another middle power, Mark Carney’s speech was a good one. The sooner us similar powers can get together and choose another way, free from the power mad “great powers” the better.

Hey now, it moves much better than some worn socks. Some of those are rock solid.

Until he talks to someone else. He’s just parroting the last thing someone said to him.

This what you mean?

The AI overview says about the 24-25 stat is about 90gb but that’s not the main driver for the shortage. It’s more due the first bit of my statement - AI. The companies creating these AI models are sucking up all the RAM.
I got married to my gf of 7 years and started going to uni.

44 and can remember lots about what I did as a 3-4 year old including first day at kindy and school, Christmases etc. phone numbers, birthdays, dates and everything. Can recall much of my time throughout my teens and 20s too.
Don’t ask me what I did last weekend though. Time goes much faster as you get older (perceptively) and I don’t feel different but know I’m getting older because I’m watching my kids grow up into (mostly) functional humans. Often I’m shocked it’s the weekend again.

Thats because he’s stuck in the 80s. It’s common for people with dementia to fall back to a time they thought was good and for him, it was the 80s when oil was king.

Whilst I agree, the problem lies with the individualism of the general population rather than the collective mindset. The backwards-ass government system (i.e. no opposition government, the bastardisation of the 3 branches etc. and the power hungry head-of-state vs a Parliamentary system for example), the extreme “state-first” mentality that then struggles when the Federal system comes down on it and the “divide and conquer” tactics of corporations with the support of successive right-leaning governments. A judicial system that corrupted by politics and trying to guess what a bunch of guys slave-owning white landowners 250 years ago would have thought is also very very very very very very very dumb. The law is meant to be blind - it’s why the statue used to represent it wears a blindfold, holds a scale and a sword.
The country is in need of a Civil Revolution rather than a civil war. Both sides are more similar than they realise, and generally want the same thing, and none seem to see the real enemy (CEOs, Billionaires etc.) due to all the propaganda.

Bet you they can’t do it.

Corporate trolls, state-sponsored trolls, agents and repost bots are at least 60% of the users and much more in some active subs like askreddit and any news subreddit (especially if critiquing genocide or war-raged areas). It’s just sad and so obvious.
