Bob Ross casually moving the hammer aside to set up another canvas
Steve Irwin … gently nudges a 200lb crocodile’s tail to pick up the hammer … CRIKEY MATE!, look at that croc! (while flipping the hammer with his free hand)
Ernest Scared Stupid us up for free on YouTube right now, so, go watch it.
We watch it religiously in this household.
Mr. Rogers
Snuffalupagus
I don’t want to look it up, because I don’t want to disappointed, but I truly hope there’s someone out there who makes Mr. Rogers Comics full time. Just churning out inspirational, wholesome, wonderful content in memory of an incredible person
Why you make me cry? Every time I see this damned comic.
Fucking goblins cutting onions around me
Mr Rogers was a gift to humanity.
The writing in that first panel is genuinely hilarious.
who the hell is this character that apparently only I haven’t heard of???
there is straight up not enough info here to Google it and the comments aren’t helping.
Here’s the Wikipedia page, it’s pretty detailed.
damn, i was thinking it had to be newer it’s based on how this picture looked.
i was born in 1995. it’s usually surprisingly easy to tell when things are before my time just by looking at them. camera technology was rapidly changing in that era. this one is right on the edge. it’s not impossible that i saw some of that as a toddler, but i certainly don’t remember it.
Ernest Goes to Slap thedirtyknapkin.
Jim Varney playing the lovable jerk Ernest. Ernest goes to camp, Ernest saves Xmas, and Ernest Scared Stupid are my 3 favorite classic Ernest movies. Good fun slapstick comedy with a goof ball main character. Jim Varney is an excellent actor all around and one of those that was definitely taken too soon. Anyways, fun series to watch, especially if you have kids or like slapstick and goofiness.

We’ll never have to develop the Voight-Kampf test…
If someone watches Ernest goes to Camp and doesn’t shed a tear they’re a fucking Terminator
“Hey Verne! Found a perfectly good hammer for free downtown where all that fighting was happening! Now we can finally put the finishing touches on those cabinets in your kitchen, know-what-I-mean?”
Ernest would lift it off his TV guide so he could see every channel jeopardy was on
Gen Z: off a what?
It’s like a magic book that tells you what program is on which channel you can just read it and then watch things
What is a “channel”?
Also, what is a “book”?
Channel is brand of perfume featuring JLo and a book are those hard paper things you use to prop up your monitor to eye level
Radar from MASH
Of course Ernest can lift Thor’s hammer, he’s walked The Path of the Brave!
ernest being ghost rider would be fun
In one of the numerous Marvel/DC crossovers both Superman and Wonder Woman were able to lift Mjolnir.
I only have a vague memory of this because it was a single comment I read on TV Tropes a decade or more ago, but weren’t some or all of the requirements lifted to allow that? IIRC, Superman wouldn’t have met the requirements because of a “lack of a warrior’s spirit.” No idea regarding Wonder Woman.
The first time it happened, there was a thing about Odin making an exception for Kal-El, but that has since been retconned. I don’t recall Wonder Woman needing any exceptions, but she also didn’t use it in her flight with Storm, as it wouldn’t have been fair.
but she also didn’t use it in her flight with Storm, as it wouldn’t have been fair.
Did the DC writers pen that one? Storm is an omega level mutant. Wonder woman is part of the DC Trinity, but it’s hard to punch hurricanes that land on top of you.
Who won each battle was determined by fan voting prior to the publish date. This was also back in 1996 before Diana got written to be basically immune to the elements and Storm knocked her out with lightning.
Did Wolverine bribe Lobo to take a fall? I think I read that in the same trope binge.
If I recall, their fight was largely off-screen just at the end Logan was smoking a cigar in a demolished bar.
The answer is appreciated, root:root.
Wonder Woman is either a demigod with blessings to exceed that of most Olympians or a full goddess and can match most of Superman’s feats of strength and speed.
Even if Storm could condense hurricane forces into something the size of her fist and have some form of physical resistance she’d still be killed by something moving at near light speed.
Or she’d get sucked into the Invisible Jet’s turbines.
Storm’s Omega-status is due to her global weather control, not personal combat power. Power over a large scale, but not necessarily the small one.
That all said, it’s comics, and speed never gets the respect it’s due.
Thanks for the information!
Forrest Gump
Odin was actually surprisingly woke about whitewashing, he gets smote.
Ice Bear.
Also Garnet.
They’ll never be able to reboot this classic Knock on wood
Hear me out, a movie about the Son of Ernest played by John Cena.
There is a Son of Ernest movie being developed–at least in theory. It was announced over a decade ago, though, so maybe it’s dead?
Well I am sold, knowhatameanVern!?
Maybe Tim Hunkin but definitely Rex Garrod
