Was having a conversation with a mod who was upset that I downvoted their opinion. Apparently if you disagree, you are banned. Looking at you @CHEFKOCH@lemmy.ml. I wouldn’t consider anything I did trolling or a violation of the rules of c/scandalzilla.

I’ve only ever seen posts from them that are mostly power abuse. They act like they’re better than anyone else and bans anyone who disagrees. They very much have an inferiority complex.
Edit: I came to lemmy to avoid people high on power, not have the powermods of Reddit come to take over here as well.
If someone mods more than 5 communities I’m generally wary of them until they prove themselves not power hungry

I feel like he can do his thing on his own communities, but it is annoying when he posts in !linux, and then when the post becomes popular, he deletes it =/
We’re discussing it in the admin chat whether to do anything about them. They have mostly been doing it on their own communities, but to me having lemmy be a pleasant experience is more important than mod’s “freedom to do what they want with their communities”.
Respect for discussing it, regardless of the outcome. Even if you end up going with allowing the mods to have free reign, I’m glad that it’s going to be discussed instead of turning a blind eye like Reddit does.
The user reported it with no reason and then aggressively down-vote everything + providing no evidence for his argument, even if community rules are clear on that, this is not discussing, it is trying to find arguments to justify that I take legitimate content down, which I will not be a part of.
The smart way is to block users as well as communities in your settings instead of making it worse, creating more work for the moderators and then cry afterwards when you get banned for not providing any evidence at all.
You btw reported the topic it for no reason, except troll without providing anything, not evidence just nothing. I think if you accuse others of childish behavior you need to see the full picture first.
That you have interest here in this is thread is crystal clear, you dislike I did not take his content down or ban the user, now you pretend you discuss anything or that you have interest in discussion, you did not even had the respect to discuss this, you simply report it.
I never take legitimate things down, even if people want me to do that, his post is and remains legitimate and there is nothing to debate here.
It does not surprises me that Reddit hides such things because the drama is not worth it, he got banned, cannot handle it and here we are. Simple payback.
I’m glad to hear that its being discussed, but I’m not sure what the best course of action would be in this scenario. It seems that each has their drawbacks, including doing nothing.

Chef-Koch is NOT a suitable mod. Please, he has a history of steal others works and be a total jerk during discussion. Don’t give this kind of power to a person who will abuse it. I know you are in a difficult time, but please keep attention to who you are giving mod’s power

This entire thread is to smear me and already against I am also not a Lemmy Mod, I moderate some communities here, so even the title is already misleading and clickbait. It is also already against Lemmy ToS, because he cannot handle he got banned and that is bottom line here. Smart decision is to block users or communities if you disagree entirely because there is nothing to get from. Now people trying to support him because they might also got banned by me for trolling or have other problems with my content.
So this is typical case of payback action. Nothing to see here. I explained everything very well.
