Yeah, my wife was in shock for a while. Usually cats don’t do that, they are too good at climbing. My guess (we were not in the room) is that he has his zoomies, leaped from the floor into the window sill (which he does frequently) and slipped on the sill like in a cartoon. Since then Windows are really opened only when somebody is around.

Our guys would already be outside. We have insect nets everywhere and one just charged through, fell down (luckily only one story) and meowed loudly at the front door…

I find the rack itself never the problem. You can get them super cheap… But single (ATX) cases are completely out of proportion. Does somebody has a good idea to mount a micro ATX motherboard and a couple 2.5" drives (external PSU)?

That reminds me of my previous work. We couldn’t but PCs from our project budget, because they are classified along furniture (because they should outlive the duration of a project), but we can buy replacement/repair parts. So yeah… Enough replacement parts make for a new PC.

In Germany it’s common consensus that payment is done once the work is finished and billed accordingly. Of course for prolonged projects you agree on several installments.

Just recently I learned that according to law your monthly utility payments (for flats) are still your money until you get a proper bill.

No they aren’t

The line with the sick notices I can agree with. I mean… I sometimes get sick that I can barely leave bed, just sitting up makes me puke my guys out and then I’m supposed to walk to the next doctor, wait an hour … Sitting … so the doctor can tell me: “yep, you are sick”… Thank you, that trip probably delayed my recovery by a couple of days.
