But you lose one of your socks every time you teleport and they’re like really cool unique ones that only work as a pair. Heartbreaking.

But you have to start at the beginning.

… provided you are playing Uno and have a reverse card.

But you can only use it at 0°N 0°E

There was some sleep study been shared around recently that says exactly this. It’s not a gradual progression into sleep, it’s a tipping point that happens all at once. Which I suppose makes sense… I wish waking up was more like that.

Agree that there’s a ragebaiting, ‘us vs them’ component - however, I think how we’re socialised to handle our feelings also plays a big role here. There’s a disparity in suicide rates between men and women worldwide, but the gap is generally larger in western countries, 4:1 in Europe compared to world averages of 1.7:1. Of course, that isn’t necessarily attributable to loneliness, there’s many reasons someone chooses to take their own life.
In my life it seems like women generally have a more supportive relationship and support network with their friends than men do. I’ve had a pretty dark year due to a range of medical stuff… and it’s not a struggle I’ve shared with my friends, men or women. If I’ve brought it up, it’s just like I have here, ‘ah yeah, just some medical stuff, but things are shaping up,’ I don’t have close friends like that. I do, however, have supportive parents, siblings, cousins - I honestly don’t know what my headspace would be like if I didn’t have them. It’s very easy to feel broken.

Random place WITHOUT obstacle detection or height limit makes this risssky… 😆

But you can only do so by singing, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” as loudly as you can.

I wish my workplace was using Sharepoint… I mean we technically are.
Our intranet homepage now says, “Please access quicklinks through Microsoft Teams under Teams -> All Staff -> General” - so you click on that link, it opens Microsoft Teams, you navigate to the channel where the ‘quicklinks’ tab is, you click on the ‘quicklinks’ tab, it says the page is not supported in Microsoft Teams, you click on the tab and open the link in Edge and LOW AND BEHOLD, you get a Sharepoint page with the ‘quicklinks’. At least I’ll never die of hypothermia because this stuff keeps my blood boiling. It’s soooo stupid.

The age old question: was it DNS or LLM?

Hmm, site isn’t working for me. Anyone else?

Same. As much as I hate the cookie dialog hellscape they inadvertently spawned (and probably need to follow up on with some additional legislation) I would much rather live under their tech laws than the garbage ones in my country.

I logged into telegram today and found that all my data had been deleted because I hadn’t used it in 6 months. Like I get why that feature might be desirable in some circumstances but for me, I’m not using end-to-end encryption because I’m sharing state secrets that need to self destruct upon opening - I just don’t want the middlemen.
I’ve been looking into alternatives like Matrix/Element, XMPP etc - it sounds like Element might be easier to get non-techy friends to adopt but it, from my understanding, has a fairly power hungry mobile app.
The cropping algorithm used for thumbnail generation. If there is a face in the image it would/should have centered faces so that they are visible.
But only over dial-up.
