I mean this seems really unserious. They make money off data, stop giving the creeps your data – that is the only way to do anything different.

5·13 days agoI have taken a break from my leisure-reading since it’s exams week, but I have ordered a set of books off my list to arrive after my exams are finished.
Two westerns: Lonesome Dove and the biography The Life and Adventures of Nat Love, and then one of the funniest books ever written Den Store Blondino (Swedish).

6·27 days agoApart from all my coursebooks for my studies I recently went down a rabbithole researching the Heroic Age of Antlantic Exploration, which started in the 1890s with the goal of finding out if Antarctica even properly existed, and went on until the so called mechanical age of Atlantic exploration. This culminated in me reading Endurance by Alfred Lansing and Madhouse at the end of the Earth, which were really good reads. I highly recommend it if you like stuff like this. Sadly many of the persons who accomplished many cool things down south later joined the white army fighting the Bolsheviks, kind of an anti-climax.

Also, lessson nr 2 which have proven true regardless of where you are: either the org is armed or it fails.

5·1 month agoI was thinking Israel but on further thought could also be Morocco or Ivory Coast where I think the US have been granted given a lot of leeway to operate militarily. It might be that Israel is more focused on the east coast.

5·1 month agoNot a day goes by where the fr*nch don’t make my blood boil. The first time you read the stories of Africa under European (with the time period including today) rule and meddling it is a real Anthony Bourdain and Cambodia moment.

1·2 months agoA lot of it has to do with Google dropping the ball a little with regards to the newer Pixel models as well. Not only are they sacrificing some of the hardware security features to reduce costs, they are also making it increasingly hard for GOS to properly patch and maintain the security architecture. Essentially they need another manufacturer, otherwise things are not looking good long term.
Yea I actually did read some of his articles and shorter works, but found them quite heavy. I hope his books are a bit easier to follow.
Uhh, I am so behind on my book list. At the bottom there is just a line that says “Every book by Losurdo” lol, I guess I’ll get to it
