Hi, first time posting here, r*ddit refugee, and I need some advice from more seasoned comrades.

For context I live in a really small town (30k pop) in a really small country (currently with a right wing government) and I’ve been radicalized over the last 4 years, from being a lib to ML and now I’m trying to organize here, but I don’t know how to do it safely and without getting infiltrated, I know there are comrades out there but I don’t know how to reach out to them.

The objective of this organization in the beginning would be to assess the living conditions of the proletariat on the town with some sort of census or something like that and with that information discuss the steps to follow.

Additional context: VERY conservative town, red scare here is strong, we would need to move really carefully.

is there not a historical example you can look to? i’d avise say everything but communism never say you’re a communist, just say you support working rights and labor unions etc. research your nearest big city communist party and link up with them by email, pay to be a member even, they’ll be able to help you regardless

It might be interesting in to run such a census early and include poll questions to find potential comrades. Don’t use buzzwords like “what are your thoughts on socialism” but neutrally refer to concepts in language suited to your audience.
