Look at all those losers in the Cuck-wagons!
Biking privilege cannot be revoked… Yet
Bikes are also powered by your manly body. In a truck, some woman or gay can push the gas pedal as well as you, but on a bike, your power proves your worth.
You can also fix a bike, even if you’re a manlet with minimal tools. These days, fixing a truck requires buying some kind of diagnostic kit, probably made in china.
Iran or some other far away place you couldn’t find on a map can mess with the oil supply and make it too expensive for your truck. Bikes are powered by food, and a real man has a garden and grows his own food as well as delicious spices.
“Nice try, commie” dies from hastily eating twenty large spoons of tar
Dunno how it is in US but where I am from you can certainly lose your rights to ride a bike. You do jot need driving license for it ofc. But if you got caught dui in a car, you’d be losing rights to any forms of personal transportation including bike. Pretty sure if you get caught driving bike dui, you’d be losing driving license for a car too.
I mean, nobody would stop you from riding bike. But riding it drunk or high would lead you to fines and restrictions for sure.
Now how do we keep them from outlawing ebikes?
Requires loan from big bank
For real though, get your auto loans through credit unions. Checking and savings there too. And mortgages. Actually, just don’t use big banks.
I’ve never bought a car with a loan. That’s optional.
Need to pay mechanic to fix vs fix yourself in living room
As much as I agree, you’re far less likely to get killed by a psychotic motorist in a car than on a bike.
This is particularity the case of where I live; I only bike on trails because of it but also only three months out of the year since I can’t handle 90+ heat. There’s no biking on the road here, people drive 60+ in a 45. You’ll still run into trucks that will roll coal. And I used to bike 30 miles+ a day in Vermont. Here I have two fancy bikes that mostly collect dust. Kinda sucks. Also some people do intentionally try and mess with you here so I have to open carry(it’s legal here) to deter idiots when biking.
I mean, if no one uses a car then there is no motorist
Yeah, but while there are motorists, biking around is fucking terrifying, at least where I live. I have no idea how I did it when I was in school.
You never get stuck in traffic on a bike.
? Happens all the time for me, what am I doing wrong?
Geez! How bad is the traffic around there? I’ve always been able to find a gap.
Well I could try running down the child/dog/walker…
Yeah, don’t do that. :) I was more referring to car traffic. I generally ride on the road, although my current commute is about 2/3 bike path with a separate path for pedestrians and is nice and wide with loveley views over the river. I feel pretty blessed.
Shared paths are a nightmare at the best of times.

Where I bike, even when there’s a separate path for pedestrians, they often just step out into the bike lane to walk around other people, often without looking.
I actually mostly prefer shared paths because an area with shared paths generally means traffic is a lot lighter, so it’s easier to just go around a pedestrian, rather than deal with groups of pedestrians who may at any moment walk out in front of you.

That’s where a good, loud horn does come in useful. :)
The bike paths near me get really busy, I sometimes get stuck behind a slow poke.
Sounds like they’re probably not wide enough, which is pretty typical of a lot of the half-arsed ways many cities implement them. My city has much improved over the last 20 years. We have a pretty effective advocacy group that actually has the ear of council.
No, they’re a pretty good size I’m just in a heavy cycling neighbourhood. We often outnumber the cars.
Even the “jams” aren’t jams, they’re just me going slower than I’d like.
Honestly, that sounds like an awesome problem to have. The paths on my commute are pretty popular as well, and everyone looks like they’re having a good time. It’s a stark contrast to when I drive to work, where there’s tailgaters and queue-jumpers and other generally aggressive dickheads.
Союз нерушимый республик свободных…
I just stood up so straight and so tall that my erection got an erection.

I get the Saudi flag, but the Soviet Union? Lame.
