That’s how they interpret the Book of Revelations. It’s all Biblical end-times prophecy coming true, and they see it as their religious duty to make sure it all happens as predicted.

Netflix made a doc called “The Family” about that group. They started in 1935 and are Christian extremists who want the apocalypse to happen while they’re alive so they can be raptured instead of dying.
Most people only know them from “the national prayer breakfast” something most of our politicians (regardless of party) attend and is treated like an official event and not pancakes with a death cult for our nations leaders.
