I work in emissions monitoring and this is super illegal.
Its only illegal if someone prosecutes them. That isn’t going to happen before the purge.
Since when has illegality stopped
parasitesrich people?Specifically which part is illegal? Is it lack of planning permission? Is it an environmental law? Etc.
While I hate being cold to peoples suffering, didn’t most of them vote for the face eating leopard party. They asked for their corporate overlords personal profit to be protected from their lungs, their environment, any consideration. They asked for billionaires to be above the law.
They are clearly being wronged here, there should be heavy fines, shutdowns and even jail time but my empathy is in short supply
Blacks typically vote mostly for Democrats while whites typically vote for Republicans. So black neighborhoods are commonly not getting representation.
Mississippi is about as Jim Crow as it can possibly be, so it doesn’t surprise me if white supremacist elected officials are pushed into office via gerrymandering, voter suppression and election tampering.
Yeah it was like 86% Harris from African Americans.
About 40% of Mississippi voters voted for Kamala Harris. Additionally, about 38% of the state’s residents are black.
The other side of the duopoly would be doing the same, they both need to be removed.
People are downvoting because they can’t reconcile one side being better than the other with both sides being bad. Is sacrificing citizens for AI companies a partisan issue? Does the mainstream democratic party oppose the unsustainable construction of data centers and what happens to people near those data centers?
The lesser of two evils is still evil
The people might want to ask themselves about the illusion of choice. The duopoly never loses, it’s all a right wing con, the filthy rich are always in control.
Maybe try democracy and vote for a different party…
Without voting reform there can only be two parties.
The only mention of a party named ‘reform’ I have previously heard of is in the uk, where reform is a far right party, the uk have multiple other parties, just as every real democracy does.
The reform party in the USA apparently doesn’t even have ballot access. You have political parties that cannot be voted for? wtaf
There are other options, but the USA is the least democratic ‘democracy’ that has ever existed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_political_parties_in_the_United_States
I mean the voting system needs to be reformed. There is no reform party, and cannot be because the voting system allows for only two parties. If Tucker Carlson or whoever manages to create a different far right party that steals more than 5% but less than 95% of the vote from the current far right party, that’s bad for far right voters because the less right party will always come out ahead in major elections.
Meanwhile if you put a couple of solar panels on your roof without filling out nineteen different forms in triplicate, providing a notarized drawing by a licensed architectural firm, paying $2000 in fees plus enduring the eleven month processing time, your local code authority will put a lien on your property and send a SWAT team to your house.
Has this happened?
It’s one part hyperbole, one part true.
It’s sad that the norm is to expect those in power will try to ruin lives as fast and as efficiently as possible. Just why… They have billions of dollars already… Why
Because they’re in a race against each other that they can never win. Elon Musk may have gotten a little wiggle room from his competition when SpaceX went public but you can bet your ass (cause I know all of you don’t have a dollar to waste) Larry Page is running his brain ragged trying to think about how he becomes the most powerful one. It’s just a pissing contest and unfortunately they’re really careless
One man harming thousands. Sounds like a crime that would be punishable by death in olden times.
There was an incident in South Korea some years ago where a greedy developer built an apartment building with substandard concrete; the building later collapsed and killed a few hundred people. The guy was tried and convicted and as he was being frog-marched to his sentencing hearing, friends and relatives of the victims were coming out of the crowd and beating him while his escorts just looked away.
It’s really enjoyable to imagine that happening here in the US, but then it’s enjoyable to imagine winning the lottery, too.
Vietnam would have had him executed by now
It’s still punishable by death! Not legally, officially, but very much in reality!
Sounds like just anothwr day in the USA
Funny how the self proclaimed savior of humanity keeps treating regulations like optional DLC: If anyone else ran 59 gas turbines without permits they would be buried in fines. Billionaires call it innovation, everyone breathing nearby calls it another asthma attack waiting to happen.
keeps treating regulations like optional DLC
He, like any shillionaire, sees people as NPCs.
That’s why he was so enthusiastic to kill infants, children, teens and adults by cutting USAID.
If he’s ever admitted to a hospital, I genuinely hope that he’s left to suffer and rot.
These fuckers don’t go to hospitals, they have personal clinics and on call concierge doctors anywhere anytime.
people did that work, just because elon musk tells people what to do doesn’t mean those people should be exonerated from the consequences as well. the people doing the work sure as shit falls out there ass, know there was no permit. if there no permit, then why not a great fire ball in the night sky.
Yea I’m not sure why this isn’t the normal way to think. The logic of “they are just doing a job and getting theirs” doesn’t hold up for everything so where is the line for these people?
Oh shucks i see you’ve signed up to drag me to the death camp! Not your fault! You’re just getting yours! Now let me be polite and handcuff myself!
We need to be more serious.
At some point participation is complicity but unless we make it hostile to work with, for, or in the interests of these inhuman monsters, people won’t know not to. Labour is not in a position to know what work is illegal or not.
Working for the wealthy needs to be seen as a threat against society. It’s deeply anti-social. We have no way to differentiate them in their range of evil, and they made it impossible to find out. So at some point, to protect the working, poor and middle classes, if you’re wealthy, you’re a threat. Don’t want to be treated as a threat? Give up your wealth and join the peasantry. We need to police our own to protect ourselves from the threat of wealth.
Can someone just shoot the bastard?
Or at least sabotage the facility?
As Trump is learning with Iran, if you make enemies by the millions, you risk awakening a plumber.
Seriously…
If we are to learn from history, and the successes of various resistance groups in Europe when occupied by the Nazis, we would learn that targetting the higher ups and figureheads don’t work. What DOES work, is targeting the workers - the average people who facilitate the machine. When the architect of the holocaust was assassinated, it only sped things up and made it worse. So instead resistance groups started doing drive bys on average ol’ Deborah’s and Johns who was employed to operate the Nazi bureaucracy, do the paperwork, doing the monitoring, doing the deliveries, average folk who worked for them - as destabilizing the machinery is far more effective than targeting figureheads. As leftists know so well - it’s the workers that do all the work.
So rather than shooting Musk, it will genuinely be more effective to shoot at Tesla/SpaceX/X employees until they stop showing up to work. Same goes for banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, healthcare insurance companies, etc. They don’t even have security detail. There’s a million other jobs they could be doing, real work like helping to rebuild, instead they choose to make these demons dreams come true in exchange for a financial bribe. As my atheist father would say about religion - “I fear not the cult leader, but the millions who follow them.” Workers and employees of these companies are just as fair, and empirically more effective targets than the billionaire CEOs.
…In a videogame, of course. I would never incite
self-defenceviolence.
Remember that anthropic are renting this data center, and should be seen as just as responsible as Musk.
https://www.theverge.com/science/935229/spacex-anthropic-ipo-ai-capacity-deal-colossus
Also Musk is such a loser, he built and ran this giant polluting data center without knowing what to do with it, and ended up renting it out at what looks like a loss.
I was landing in Memphis a few weeks ago, and you can see the literal cloud of pollution surrounding this thing. There’s a distinct haze you can see centered on the thing.
Implies they care about anyone in Mississippi.
Implies they care about anyone
in Mississippi.FTFY

It’s shocking that they just seem to sit out there in the open. Afaik they are very delicate and fragile machines.
This makes me wonder what would happen if one would pour glass dust in the air intake of thos generators.
Prolly get filtered out. I was thinking cans of expanding foam (ie, "great stuff) with an m80 duct taped to it. Light it up, chuck it in.
One of those fell in my washing machine when I wasn’t looking and it got emptied during the cycle.
Ruined my clothes and the machine wasn’t happy about it but it eventually worked fine after a few cleaning cycles.
The “liquid nails” type of expanding foam however, I’m pretty sure that would fuck up anything.
I think the great stuff would do more damage then the M80, and would result in probably one less charge.
Is the m80 not to just make the great stuff leave the can?
I mean I assume the great stuff would leave the can after you huck it into the turbine, but if you’re worried it won’t be punctured, you could just duct tape down the trigger on the can before you huck it.
You might be right, maybe not. Let’s find out!
Damn, kickin’ it old school!
Gee golly, someone will surely do something…
