He later said: “So, we need, I, I would really, I’m demanding that these countries come in and protect their own territory because it is their territory, it’s the place from which they get their energy and they should come and they should help us protect it.”

Then came the line that quickly sparked reaction online:

“You could make the case that maybe we shouldn’t even be there at all because we don’t need it.”

It’s Iran’s terrority, and Iran is defending it after being attacked…

But I really think he’s getting pressure from Christian extremists to abandon Israel. Their endgame was always Israel getting wiped out by its neighbors to start Armageddon and rapture Christians.

If no one joins against Iran, trump will likely try to slink away and Bibi holding the bag.

It was 80 degrees here yesterday and its snowing right now as I type this.

And this is the best our climate will be for the rest of our lives 🙃

Christian Nationalism (fascism) is on the rise globally.

Because less than a dozen humans with more money than god control the global media.

Alright High and Mighty my point with putting fascism in parentheses was mostly to say that what we are dealing with globally is Fascism. Just that where I am it has presented itsself as Christian Nationalism.

Wrapped in the flag carrying a bible and all that.

Its why they are so terrified of James Talarico. Because he is everything they are pretending to be and stands a real chance of breaking the masses illusion that American Christian Nationalists are either Christian or Nationalist.

They are neither. They are fascists only loyal to their leader. Not to their God. Certainly not to their country.

High and Mighty thanks you for providing an explanation, which was definitely needed here.
And fascists have a well established pattern of disguising their ideology as something else.
the OG’s have somewhat given that name a bad reputation.
If they would call it the fascist Party not event he bulk of the awful people who have the same awful views would vote for them.
Not many would say of themselves they are fascists, like assholes won’t say they’re assholes.
That would be too confronting since they know it’s wrong. They choose to delude themselves.

Waitasec, I’m no expert, but I thought the whole Rapture thing required all the Jewish people to be gathered into one place first. So, they literally require every Jewish person in America to be deported to Israel for their whole process to even begin.

      Did I misunderstand something?

Israel getting wiped out by its neighbors to start Armageddon

Well then they haven’t really studied the Bible properly if they think it refers to just Israel, literally. Israel is used frequently as an all encompassing term to refer to the ‘church’ as a whole, so all Christians.

      Not specifically the country.

It wasn’t really directed at you and I only took a part of the statement (which I’ve heard a lot from different sources) to make that observation.

Putin was in the driver’s seat for Trump’s first term, which is why there was no attack on Iran during that time despite it being stated Republican policy for years (McCain was literally singing about it during the 2008 campaign.)

Putin’s got his hands full this time around, though. Trump will still do him favours whenever he can, but he’s got other handlers with more influence now.

“You could make the case that maybe we shouldn’t even be there at all because we don’t need it.”

“We have a lot of oil,” said Trump. “We were the number one producer anywhere in the world times two by double, at least double. Now I think it’s much higher than that. But we do it. It’s almost like we do it for habit, but we also do it for some very good allies that we have in the Middle East.”

That does not at all sound like a “probably we shouldn’t be there” statement. It reads more like “some say we shouldn’t but we do it anyways because …”

Like he outright states he’s doing it for Israel and because Israel asked him to and somehow convinced him. He’s not backing down. That’s not what he’s saying there.
