Technically correct, but laws are only real in so far as they are enforced.
And china, russia, and the US break them constantly. We’ve been at a point of no respect for global rules-based order for a long time now.
Ha.
Unlike international law, the “rules-based order” doesn’t even exist. It’s a thing the US made up. It’s just a euphemism for doing what the US tells you. The US makes up the rules and expects countries to follow them. Why the hell should China or Russia play the US’ game of Calvinball?

Genuinely pathetic in the psychological sense
One of those is not like the others. What international law has China broken lately? Russia has one strike w/ Ukraine (technically against international law ig regardless of whether you agree with their reasoning). Meanwhile the US breaks international law every week and has been doing so for decades.
Westerners always assume that, just because they break international law constantly, their enemies must as well.
Not for no reason: the mighty wurlitzer tells them this over & over to induce hoplessness or apathy.
Tell Putin I said he needs to go and neck himself. Make the world a nicer place, hey. Cheers.
Let me quickly get him on a call and relay this extremely important message right away

I don’t think global order has ever really existed.
3 weeks in 1946
Not really. The leaders of countries defile them constantly and nobody is every truly punished.
My country will still align with the USA citing “rules based global order”
This counts only if the US does it. If it was China, it would count as “a violation of the rules based global order”
the best part that your country will do this because the USA used it leveraged in the recent past to force your country to become amenable to it.
i hope that watching the only other world power resort to sternly written letters both w this and gaza like some feckless democrat is not a portent of things to come.
No shit.
usa using the same tactics as Iran and the Houthis, but somehow okay
If china cut a deal with venezuela it would get cheap oil and could protect its ships. I think the US ‘department of war’ may just be accellerating the shifting of world power against the US.
Department of war is really just the vanguard party dismantling the US hard power from the inside TRUST

Aww, shit. Here we go again
It’s hilarious that China now stands for International Rule Of Law and the US stands for Piracy and Genocide.
It’s almost as if one of these nations has an ancient and deeply ingrained tradition of legalism and the other makes international law simply to use as a weapon against weaker powers
Why? That’s usually been the case
What a time to live in where we agree with china on the issue of international law…
yes, china, the country that is so famous for its wide and complex history of international conflicts, oh right, that’s not china, it’s the usa which has been in war every year since it’s genocided the aborigines and inspired hitler in doing so. you westerners live in a parallel universe sustained by the suffering of the global south
China has consistently been far more respectful of International Law than the West has been.
They’re not wrong. This time. Although they assert illegal maritime rules all the time.
“no, we meant it as a compliment!”
It’s only more of the epstein shuffle. Those ships will be given back very soon now. It’s his last ditch effort before the compost hits the Cuisinart.
I wish liberals were capable of seeing the actual complexities of the world instead of thinking every single goddamned thing is actually explainable by one thing ever.
This is all to distract us from the Mueller investigation

Sigh!
