I hate my Samsung’s autocorrect. Sometimes it just decides to autocorrect the correct word that I typed correctly and make it into a completely different word that doesn’t even make sense.

It didn’t do that before. It’s like they fucked with touch boundaries or something a couple of versions ago, and iOS 26 is even worse…

I don’t know for sure, but I feel like autocorrect is integrated into the touch boundary system because every time I go to google something related to the Nintendo switch, my “w” keypress is detected as “e”, and I think it’s because there’s more words that begin with “se” than “sw”

I noticed that typing and corrections got MUCH worse during the week-or-so I had Apple AI turned on. Turning it off made my keyboard perform like it used to.

Thing is, I don’t have any AI on my iPhone 15; I also turned off the swipe keyboard thingy…

Life has gotten significantly worse with big fingers as my phone has a function (that I thankfully was about to deactivate for now) which has complete AI Gen messages that auto text to a recipient if you fat finger them.

Like fuck I’m gonna answer “Sounds good! 👍” to some asshole like a fucking jackass.

I miss my Bold 2 (9700 I think). The keyboard was perfect for touch typing, shaped in a way to make it much easier to type on. Even if the screen of a new phone is half the size of my current phone, as long as it has a keyboard like the Blackberry Bolds I would honestly be quite satisfied.

I swear to God, keymonk keyboard did get rid of this several years ago, and then the Dev abandoned the idea and the keyboard, and everyone forgot about it.

And autocorrect is awful. It’ll sappily hang swords into whit yew dent wane. Yet it won’t change a word that is one ketter off because it can’t seem to figure it out.
