Yeah, King Kong. That big ass dude fell a long time in the sky while he was falling.
Jane was a class act, a total bad ass, and a huge inspiration for a little nature nerd (like I was at 6).
Sad to see her go, but she’s left a huge mark on science and conservation and inspired thousands.
Now I’m a big nature nerd, and work to save it. Thanks for the guiding light, Jane.

The longer I live in this magaverse, the more I understand the desire to go live with chimpanzees.
The actual civilized primates.
Their version of universal healthcare is picking the bugs off of each other, and it’s still more than is guaranteed to most Americans.
I keep trying to get my buddies to do a group groom session after we go disc golfing, but they aren’t interested.

Back in the ‘90s, my grad student roommate was studying how tanzanian chimps use certain plants only for antiparasitic effect. Quite effective and too small in quantity to be food. Medicine.
