Not suprised. EU had more than 20 years to admit Turkey into the union. Why should Turkey be ok with more EU countries joining NATO when EU doesn’t want Turkey?

The article is waaay off. It’s too trusting of what politicians say in public. Erdoğan didn’t want more trouble with the west, but the domestic pressure on him was too great.

Did you read the article? That seems to be not the main reason why Turkey is against this, and besides EU and NATO are not the same thing at all.
