If you knew anything about graphic design, you would know that this is very much a trend in design. Any graphic designer worth their salt is designing these kinds of things today because this is what the system pays them for. It is a very specific aesthetic designed to invoke certain feelings of trust in users in order to make them think less about how big tech platforms are exploiting their users, workers, etc.

And secondly, I never said the words “lack of innovation in capitalism,” so you don’t understand how quotes are supposed to work, but also you are putting words in my mouth. The title is about the supposed variety of products, aesthetics, etc. that capitalism is supposed to facilitate, when in reality in encourages convergent evolution in aesthetic and grand trends that are followed by entire industries. Look at cars today, for an example. As the cancer of capitalism advances further and further, automobiles are converging closer and closer to a single aesthetic that companies find makes them the most money. You see this in many industries. Film, music and gaming come to mind, as aesthetics converge to their maximum profit potential. To further illustrate capitalism’s homogenizing effects, think about how different rich socialites are in different countries. Not very different at all, are they?

Thirdly, your immediate defense of people who are fucking you over is just sad.

I mean you are talking to someone who specialize on communication and art/design.

      I don’t know why I even bother.

At least try to appreciate people good work. You are demeaning hardworking people while critizing stuff you don’t understand. They don’t look alike for the reasons you believe. But you don’t probably care about art and the people who work on it.

That’s exactly the opposite of how I’m looking at this. The artists are hard workers, who are being forced to produce this horseshit for their bosses. In capitalism, the people who work get shafted, and those who do nothing are rewarded with the fruits of all human labor.
