Tbf, my Galaxy S22 did this a couple months ago with a system update. All my battery optimization exceptions were reset, so my alarm clock app wasn’t allowed to run in the background. Took me a week to figure out why my alarm wasn’t going off, because they also changed the location of those settings to an even more obscure menu in app permissions.

If you’ve never considered taking up programming before, I’d suggest you try it sometime and see where it takes you. It’s not hard to learn, it just takes time.
But what if you tell yourself they would despite all signs to the contrary?

I didn’t mean to imply the app sends your data to third parties, only that the company who owns it profits off of third party information brokering. Where that information comes from is beside the point in my opinion.

It was a good launcher when it first came out, but it’s been nothing but a downward spiral from there.
Edit for clarity: I don’t mean the app itself. It is owned by an entity that exists to sell consumer data.

They’re saying that there was a manufacturing issue causing oxidation, by that’s not why their CPUs were failing. That was caused by a voltage issue that can be patched, but the bricked CPUs will be refunded/replaced. Like, why admit to two separate issues being present in your product, as a manufacturer, unless it’s to mitigate the blowback from one issue in the first place. I don’t buy it.

If your CPU goes out, the easiest, cheapest solution is always a drop-in replacement. Not like you can easily switch to a different brand. Just par for the course for the race to the bottom.

Fun fact: Redbox is operated by Chicken Soup for the Soul. I almost got hired by them but they screwed me over after I had already resigned from my previous position.
For whole blood, I’ve only ever been given a t-shirt. For plasma alone though, it was purely dependent on your weight and, therefore, how much they can take from you in the one session. I’m a tiny dude who barely weighed enough to qualify and got about $80 a couple years ago. It’s honestly not worth it at all, but if you’re broke it’s easier than many other options. The place was full of the “undesirables” of society because of that. It drained me emotionally, seeing how blatantly exploitative it is.
Edit to add: these plasma donations can be done with a tighter window between them too, so the people who were always short on cash were in there every 2 weeks.
Edit again: I forgot that that was an introductory deal where they give you an extra $40, so it was actually $40 for me. Overweight patients could get around $70-$80.

It’s been pretty nice. I started slacking on my charging schedule a few months after I got it, so it’s degraded a little bit, but I can still make it through an 8-hour shift with Spotify going through my headset. The only thing motivating me to get something else is the locked down bootloader. I’d like to install something de-google-ified, but it’s straight up impossible on the US version of the S22.
