Reading all these comments… People love to judge. ffs let people believe whatever they want. You can disagree with their preferences without declaring them as dumb or misguided. It’s even pretty arrogant to dismiss others view of why reality exists when literally no one knows the answer to that.
It’s expensive and has only the advantage of catching CO2, while trees have more than just that. Produces O2, Cooling the near surroundings, are a save heaven for many species and therefore increases biodiversity, filters the air and soil, also makes the soil more healthy and probably many other reasons.
Humans really are weird. Trying to replace a perfectly fine bio-machinery that developed over Thousands of years with their own steel junk. I dont see why anybody would prefer that gadget over a tree.

Yes, the big majority of people from that time wouldn’t even grasp the concept of our technology today. So we really should be humble, open minded and cautious with scientific facts, since “facts” can change over the course of time or changing significantly (or can be seen in a new light from new discoveries).
Also, we are not “just chemicals”, since chemicals are made of particles that on a very low level are just energy. So we can be matter but also energy - both statements are true. Which leads to that phenomena, that there can be multiple answers that are equally true.

It’s sad, but that’s how it is for most.
I’d differentiate between “social status” and “authority”.
Social status = social hierachy/worth inside a group, e.g. a class where you have “losers” and popular kids. Or inside a shop where sometimes employees serve people very differently regarding their appearance (Client with much money? Client looking poor?).
Authority = rolls given by system/government/laws, e.g. Police that have authority over citizens
The first is more invisible and vague, while the second is something that is tangible.

Also, your kid might already know these concepts, at least unconsciously. I’d try to teach them modesty and repaying kindness with kindness and not weighting the social status too much but also consider the personality. The most popular kids in class aren’t the kindest in most cases.

Dito. Mob Psycho is awesome, but if i want to buy all 3 seasons in HD i’d spending more than 100€ (on Blu-Ray). This is nothing but ridiculous.
I’ve used Tumbleweed for round about a year and i am very happy with it. Ended my distro hopping, after i tried fedora, mint, kde neon and ubuntu.
I’d say im more of a casual user, so i didn’t need some special software yet. After a bit of setup things like browsing, watching videos, gaming and so on just work. Because im relatively new to linux im still not used to the terminal, i only know some basic commands, so yast is very welcomed here :)
Like i said, it ended my distro hopping - i like tumbleweed!

Hard to say who is my best friend. I think i’ve actually got two, which where my neighbours during my childhood. We met when we were 3 years old.
My one best friend is just the most supportive person ever, she encourages me to do the things i want to do. She is brave, kind and creative. My other best friend is, imo, i think he sees it differently, pretty intelligent. He is kind, but also a bit (socially) clumsy and kind of anxious. But he also helps me to stay motivated and we went hiking in Norway and Scotland together… Which was just awesome.
Overall, i just think, I’ve got some friends for life and proud to be connected with them. Nothing is always perfect, but we know each other for so long and therefore good enough to just acknowledge the faults, but not let them tear us apart!
