It isn’t even that the first group does nothing, but rather it lays the foundation, the slow accumulation of a quantity until it reaches a point where a transformation in quality occurs, that leap in awareness and understanding, that couldn’t have happened without a foundation to stand on when making it. You need decades where (seemingly) “nothing” happens in order to reach weeks where “decades” happen, so to speak.

Edit: that said, there are definitely books that really hit the Marx (badum tiss), and liberal works which use many words to say very little as they are hiding just how little they have to say.

I’m reading a contribution to the critique of political economy, after I’ll read ludwig feueurbach and the end of classical german philosy, I couldn’t sleep a wink last night so I decided to just get up instead, if I can’t sleep I might as well read.

I’m reading “The 18th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte” by Karl Marx, 18 pages in and I can feel the shear frustration at France rolling off the text in waves.

I think that would be too distracting for me, part of why text is easier for me is I set my own pace, that and it requires deliberate focus that makes it easier for my mind not to wonder.

Oh hey I just finished reading that, wasn’t the first time I read it but I needed to read it again. Now I’m going to read Reform or Revolution by Rosa Luxemburg, I heard it in audobook format but I’m not good at absorbing complex stuff by audio, I need text.

I saw that newer video by boy boy, the over an hour long video about Cuba, it was such an emotional rollercoaster ride I couldn’t help but cry, it was beautiful.

It’s the accumulation of a quantity before the point in which a transformation in quality occurs, the conditions are growing more favorable for actual Socialism, and as more burn out on fake “socialism” they will be more receptive to the real deal. Behind the growth of “socialism” there are Marxist Leninists slipstreaming to catch those thrown off the “socialist” bus by disillusionment.

It’s not a binary, “is” or “isn’t” thing, the socdems represent the fear of the ruling class to appease the masses and cool revolutionary energy before it boils over, they are a weather vein that is showing that the winds are changing direction.

There are more decades in weeks ahead of us, even if the pendulum sometimes swings back to weeks in decades. (or at least seemingly)

I’m reading “Remembering History and Defending Justice Great Contributions of the Main Battlefield in the East of the World Anti-Fascist War” only on page 16 right now, but the part where it described what the Japanese did to the Chinese was hard to read, had to take a break to calm down.
