Oof I was prescribed Prozac when I was 14 or 15 a year or two before this study. It’s the only time in my life I was ever suicidal. I’m happy for those it works for but, it literally almost killed me.

My doctors response to my side effects? “That shouldn’t happen, let’s increase the dose.” Literally would not let me off it. I ended up stepping myself down and holy fuck what a miserable experience. Like being a teenager isn’t hard enough?!

My dad used to build a lot of PLCs for them. They wanted the cheapest shit they could get in the fastest time possible while bitching more than and of their other customers. I don’t wanna doxx myself or my father but, he was GOOD. He HATED Siemens. They also decided he was too expensive in the 90s and that went for a company that was OK compromising on a lot of things.

I was best friends with his sister. I met him when I was in middle school but I didn’t fall for him until high school. I was staying the night at my best friends house and she went to sleep early. He stayed up with me and we talked all night.

It would still be 3 years before we dated. He was in a toxic relationship with a girl who threatened to kill herself every time he wanted to leave. He never cheated though. He finally left her and his sister and I were no longer very close.

We just happened to run into each other when we were both at a retail store. He gave me his new number. I text him shortly after. He came over and we started dating that night. We were together about 2 years. We were young and both had a lot of growing to do.

I used to keep in contact with him but, his wife got pissed. I told him that’s fine, if he was unwilling to stand up for himself again (his wife is similar to his ex) that that was his choice. I wasn’t going to step on his marriage.

Still occasionally talk to his sister but, haven’t talked to him in 10+ years.

I did this somewhat recently. I took over !sims2@lemmy.world still working on getting a bit more traction bit it’s niche so, I’m not surprised.

Yeah I have 2 accounts I use for scrolling (news allowed and no news allowed lol) so one of my accounts I flip back to just for modding. But, I do try to occasionally post things in that community from that account as well.

If you looked at my request a month or so ago, thank you! Still trying to get traction but, at least there’s posts now and an occasional comment. But, I know a game released in 2007 is a bit niche these days lol.
