This how you are going to look like a senior at 40. So now you are sacrificing your life for your life.

Or you know just don’t drink. Nobody gives a fuck if you order a non-alcoholic drink.

I genuinely feel like this sometimes. Not with booze but with sleep.

I spend all week being tired because I get up early for work, and then when the weekend comes I’ve got a choice:

      A) Have a long lie-in and recover and sleep the weekend away

      B) Get up early anyway and make something of my day

So I get up early on weekends too because I HATE the thought that work gets to consume my time even on days I’m not working. No way.

As a contractor, yeah… your performance is key for every job, that doesn’t work for the majority of people.

Not gonna be kept on or continue getting jobs if you can’t lay a straight line of tile or gotta go hide from the sound of the saw.

Funny, my buddy just asked me to go to the bar, and I told him he was about 15m post pajama changeover.

Being young helps. When I was in my twenties, I could do stuff like that (within limits) and still be somewhat functional the next day. These days it’s just not an option.

I’m amazed at the shit I used to do. On more than one occasion I went into the city (there’s only one the city in America) and took the 520am train home (narrowed it down for you), just in time for floor hockey at the local JCC at 750am.

The pub trivia I go to on occasion is very chill. It starts at 7 and usually wraps by 8:30 at the latest and I typically have 1-2 beers the whole night. I get up for work at 5 and this still works out pretty nicely

I feel like 8pm isn’t that late, no? I mean, I don’t drink, but I think most people in my city straight up don’t have dinner until about 8 cuz of work.

That’s why you go to a pub that does trivia on a Wednesday instead… /s

But on a serious note, I just drink until I know 'hey, one more drink and I won’t be happy tomorrow. And if I am still over, I just make sure to stop by the 24 hour store for Powerade, red bull, and iced tea (or I guess, your absolute favlure drink to cheer you up.) Of the 5 or so hang over mornings, I’ve only been caught once by reception because I ordered 3+ hash browns for a delivery time of the time I get to work

I recently took my bike to a party. Tried some new liquors beyond my means.

I ended up walking my bike home, which was long but not impossible. It sucked that most Ubers can’t stow a bike, not quite sure how else I might’ve handled it.
