It’s just feudalism. Let’s be honest. Our lords and masters, rightful inheritors of all the wealth, they control the government and dictate to us serfs what our jobs, houses, and laws shall be. They tightly control our movements so as not to flee the inhumane conditions too readily.

The only new innovation of the past couple centuries is that every four years they ask us which of the two wealthiest and most aristocratic lords should be the slightly more important lord.
