The Tick!!! That cartoon was ridiculously funny.

The 2001 live action show was enjoyable too. The more recent amazon reboot wasn’t bad either. Actually got two seasons and an arc.
I enjoyed the more recent one over the 2001. They both came out on Netflix recently.
The antenna were what sold the 2001 for me. That and Warburton. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen anything with Warburton in it that I didn’t like. But between him and those damn animatronic antenna. Even though he didn’t have the proper cowl Etc it was still very enjoyable. The fox show was definitely a lot campier and low budget. But that sort of worked for it in a way. While they had a lot of star cameos throughout the short run. Just some of the basic scenarios and situations were hilarious. Like the tick fighting the Red Scare in an elevator while Jimmy Carter watched on. But then I’m also an older viewer so probably your mileage could vary.
Unfortunately edland didn’t have the full rights to all the characters. So each show is really its own experience. But I think at least some Nostalgia puts the 2001 a little bit out ahead of the Amazon reboot. Even though I could easily recommend it.

Then you’re very unlikely to enjoy his stand-up
I never knew he did standup. Had to look it up. Dear god this is the truest comment I’ve ever seen on Lemmy.
Rough.
Serafinovicz is so good as Tick.

Where is Earthworm Jim?
Or did I hallucinate that cartoon…
Where’s CatDog?
Or Doug
Nah that show’s a classic
I never saw the cartoon, but I definitely played as him in Clay Fighter 63⅓.
Now that’s the thing. Right before or after Rurouni Kenshin.
🎶That’s right… The answer to the riddle is cakes on the griddle! 🎶
Thats’s from my favorite episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch where Sabrina tries pancakes, but pancakes are crack to witches. I remember after watching it, I went on a pancake bender myself 😆
USA Cartoon Express of the 80s and early 90s was the only reason to wake up on Saturday mornings.
Thundercats, Dragonball, Batman TAS , Sailor Moon (my sister, not me…ofc…), X-Men, Pokemon, Inspector Gadget.
I watched Sailor Moon because they were all my girlfriends. I can admit that at this point of my life.
mmm delicious loss lead IP to sell dirt cheap toys
Lemmy 1995 cartoon watch day when?
And Sailor Moon!
The '70s were way better. We got Looney Tunes and The Little Rascals.
90s got Tiny Toons 😭
That point in history where everything had to have a “baby” version
I never thought I’d live to see the day someone denigrates Tiny Toons Adventures. What the hell.
I was more a fan of Animaniacs.
Also wtf. Why did it go from Looney Tunes to Tiny Toons??
Saw the above and wondered why he spelled it Tunes, cause I thought it was Toons, looked it up, he’s right. Spelled Tiny Tunes above, then saw your comment and said the fuck, looked it up and sure enough. Confusing af.
What is this picture from? It’s like a breakfast bukake scene.
Scooby doo
As long as it wasn’t during the Scrappy doo era, god I hate that little bastard.
People who try to wave it off as simple nostalgia are fools. It was a golden age, the peak of western
civilizationanimation.Er mer gerd! Magic School Bus isn’t shown?

That show was fucking wild.
I was that weird kid who liked Bobby’s World the most.
Now do another one for 2005.
I’m pretty sure that Saturday morning cartoons had been nuked by then. Only holdouts I think were Fox affiliates and Nickelodeon.
