Yeah, I still feel like that year is when things really went off the rails in the US. I lost a lot of friends and family to the cult, and I’m starting to think they’re never coming back. A chasm has formed in America and it’s only getting wider.
No, there’s boxers with pockets at the store. Hanes makes some.
They exist, I’ve seen them at the store. Here’s a picture:

Outside Elden Ring and Tears of the Kingdom I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a triple A release since 2017.

Way more power efficient, smaller process, less heat, easier to upgrade, better multi core performance, lower price; you just get a better CPU.

Wood fires produce way more exhaust at the cost of many trees, while electric heat can be powered by the sun or a flowing river.
Livestock produce tons of CO2, and farming takes a lot of land. We can’t all be Amish, and it certainly wouldn’t solve climate change.
The air is still very thin.

Yes cultivating patience is a great skill, but I have no interest in spending more time in line than I have to.
It’s not that bad, it’s just more bad than self check.
Personally I hate waiting in line, I can feel the life leaving my body. I self check for speed.
Apparently line impatience is an ADHD thing, but regardless of where it comes from I appreciate being able to do it myself instead of waiting.

Nearly all of those can run just fine on-device. I think the part of the bubble that’s ripe to burst is the gigantic gigawatt data centers; we don’t even have the power to run them if all the ones under construction were completed. The current trajectory is not sustainable, and the more contact it has with reality the harder that will be to ignore.
