Twonks
1 panel: image of a field with bush covered hills in the background. An easel is set out on the grass, a canvas half finished depicts the hills. In the white unpainted sky of the painting is the start of a UFO flying across the sky with black smoke coming from the back of it. Around the base of the easel is the artists paints, brush, pallet, a single shoe, and a wooden stool that has fallen over.
Odd, I didn’t read that slanted line as smoke at all, but that the artist was being dragged off by… someone … mid-stroke, as it were.
He must have died while

Environmental story-telling.
This coupled with the not my idea caption of “I want to leave” (riff on xfiles, “I want to believe”) would make a solid shirt.
I really like this one. It gives me chills.

Twonks has quickly become one of my favourite comic series out there. There’s something about both the humour and art style that really click with me for some reason.
This one is also probably my favorite Twonks

Great minds think alikeohh i read the transcript and finally understood it. at first i could not see it as anything other than a branch with a cob of corn hanging on it. was wondering what the corn had to do with the artist’s disappearance.
