It’s the Americas rotated 90° counter-clockwise from the typical north up representation.
Yes, but zoom in on the map and you’ll notice that all of the labels are oriented so they’re read with the southern tip of South America pointing upwards
Oh dang, I did not zoom in enough to see that, my b. Is that common on a southern hemisphere map? I could understand using a different projection, but what benefit does just flipping it south up have?
