I wouldn’t even call it the middle of deep red country. It’s a day trip from Columbus (blue), Dayton (light blue), and kinda a schlep but doable from Cincinnati (blue). Its immediate surroundings are deep red except Springfield. But it’s in the path of the 3 Cs
It’s also where the republican party was formed, but that’s because ohio really fucking hated slavery at the time.
It is kinda dangerous if you try to start shit at peaches. But yeah the danger is a single biker bar and the occasional fascist looking to start shit. Oh and quite a bit of drugs, but hippie drugs not the meth and heroin problem neighboring towns have.

The important part is how people are definitely not reactionary nowadays, Our intellect has grown, we are evolving! We can tell, because we are always correct now, and always on moral high ground. Obviously. Anyone who would even question that is ignorant. We know this so deeply it evokes rage when anyone is ignorant enough to question what we know. It is obvious we were inherently on the correct side, because we actually took the time to figure it out and they just go with the stupid things they feel or have naively just accepted without questions.
