    Will you die already Ubisoft!??!?!

I don’t wish for game developers at Ubisoft to lose their jobs, I want them to be employed somewhere that doesn’t torpedo the end product of their talent.

In any other business, having 6 simultaneous failed projects would be cause for dismissal of the CEO and probably the majority of the management staff. If I owned or had a large amount of shares in a company where this happened, I would not be a happy chappy. But I’m assuming the Ubisoft upper echelons are patting themselves on the back for their business acumen and financial savviness, already penning their bonuses into their calendars.

Meanwhile, regular workers are dropped like pubic lice the minute it’s convenient to do so.

    Parasites.

More focus on open-world titles and games as a service? Every time I think they’ve hit the bottom, they manage to dig deeper.

too be fair to Ubisoft they have been focusing on open world slop since they started milking assassin’s Creed for all it’s got.

Ubisoft, the people who fucked up Assassin’s Creed + ninjas. How can you fuck what up? It’s a easy home run, but no.

When they said we have to get used to not owning our games, they really meant it! Can’t own it if it never comes out.

Took me a sec to find it on first scan of the article, so highlighting this bit for those curious about the other games:

. . . Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has been cancelled, as well as four unannounced titles, including three new IPs and a mobile title. The identity of the sixth game has not been clarified.

and the delayed games have not been clarified yet either. From the related article:

In addition, Ubisoft said it’s delayed seven games to ensure they meet quality expectations. It did not say which games had slipped, but confirmed that the seven titles include one title that was planned for release before April 2026, which will now be released before April 2027.

Yeah, keep it up U-be-soft. I reckon you’re hit ‘Invincible’ mobile game can safe your pathetic ass.

God, the day this company declares bankruptcy, I’ll coat the nearby surroundings and then forget they ever existed.

Till I inevitably want to play AC Black Flag for the 15th time
