Repost from reddit.
How much longer can working people tolerate the constant class warfare? The billionaires are literally feasting on the children of the world, gaslighting us about whatever suits their twisted business interests, burning or only planet to make themselves slightly more wealthy. They’re parasites on society, literal cancers obsessed with infinite growth.
Democracy died long ago, and the fascist forces grow stronger every day.
At what point will working people realise that revolution is the only option left?
The youth revolutions in Nepal and Madagascar give me hope.
The billionaires, their lapdog politicians, and their propagandists in the media must be resisted at all costs.
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable”.
I wish us luck and clarity in opposing the tyranny. Long live those who speak truth to power, long live critical thinking.
Hope dies last 💪
(1) Because the Western ones have been bribed separating themselves from the global proleteriat (2) and the others are having to deal with both their own bourgoisie and western imperialism at the same time.
Don’t forget globosouth proles are struggling for their lives, and that tends to makes them more individualistic.
As Parenti says most of the world is capitalist and most of the world is poor; the relations amplified by capital ends up atomising families and individuals - they can end up losing their communal solidarity and could be left with nationalism without the liberation struggle, often along sectarian or religious divisions. I think the defaulting to individualism as a means of survival is a relatively new phenomenon.
As usual, comrade Parenti explains what’s on my mind better.
I love this discourse, thank you both, I hadn’t yet gotten into parenti but will do so now. Thank you for sharing your insights!
