I hate nuts. I’m not allergic to them.
Everything about them is wrong, I’ve never had food that contained nuts that wouldn’t have been significantly better without them.
Chocolate with nuts - What was wrong with just the former
Nuts on their own - Might as well eat wood
Nutbars - gross.
Food with nuts is just bad, and the sooner we move on from this dated cultural institution the better.

Bro, you’re nuts.
Your nuts?
Our nuts, flapping in the wind.
Our nuts, comrade

FOR THE MOTHERLAND!!
Biblically accurate tanuki
That is one hell of an image
One of the elders becomes senile and starts a Buddhist dancing cult among the tanuki who are unable to transform, eventually sailing away with them in a ship that takes them to their deaths.
Yeah, it sounds like an interesting one. Kind of fern gully-ish.
Nutritious food that grows for free on trees? What could be better?
Peanut Butter and Nutella
Your honor I rest my case.
Peanuts aren’t nuts tho
OP replaces with Butter and ella. Seems doable.
‘Might as well eat wood.’
I wish wood tasted that good.
It does if you smoke things with it.
Some of the postings in this Community are starting to get absurd. I’m going to make one that says I love murder and I hate babies next.
Hating babies is pretty common
I’m happy they exist I just don’t think they’re cute and don’t ask me to hold one.
PROTEIN IS AWFUL 🤢

Yes, you guys have created some truly unpopular posts
Love them. I don’t find them woody tasting. My daughter’s girlfriend is allergic to nuts so I don’t cook with them much now (they are living here) and I miss them.
I don’t usually just want a handful but they make food better not worse.
Walnuts or pecans, such a pleasant texture in cinnamon rolls or banana bread, cookies.
Almonds are delicious with green beans.
Cashew butter makes better cream of mushroom soup than cream does, and I say this as a lover of cream, milk, cheese.
They are high in calories and nutrition for something that grows on a tree, too.
Counterpoint: pistachios. Just the shell without the pistachio nut would be a lot less interesting.
Yep, they kinda taste woody. What’s wrong with eating wood tho? Trust me, if I could actually draw nutrition from wood, I would xD
But also, nuts have hella different texture. Only nut I hate is pistachio as of now, didn’t taste them all after all.
Upvoted cause I heavily disagree with this. Cashews and almonds are the best snack ever. Almond Joys are the best chocolate candy bar.
Nutella, nuff said.
To compare them to eating wood is absurd. Your taste palate must be ruined.

Nuts on their own - Might as well eat wood
Depends how old they are and/or how they were shipped. My local bulk store recently switched almond suppliers and the new ones are soooooo much better (from California to Spain). It’s like night and day… before it was like eating gravel, but it was fine because that was just what gravel tasted like… but the revelation that almonds can actually taste like almonds is, well… I can never go back. Walnuts are not wood, fresh walnuts are bomb. Pecans are AMAZING with raisins. Almonds are total shit unless you can find the good ones from the good Spanish supplier.
That’s a good point. I’ve noticed that almonds in particular loose their freshness, their flavor, quickly
i’ve only had european almonds (afaik), but my experience was the older they were, the stronger their flavour was, the more they dry out, the stronger it gets
I just remembered, the ones from cali were steamed or something, which turned them into gravel.
hard disagree, i need the cruch
You might have a thing called taste, which is not really an opinion.
So I tried to think of the top three things that I really enjoy with nuts in them:
- Ice cream with hardening chocolate sauce and crushed peanuts sprinkled on top (sooo good)
- Almond Roca (toffee plus chocolate plus nuts)
- Whitefish with almonds on top. (I know I’m not describing this very well, but I’ve had several fish with nuts on top that have been truly outstanding.)
