Even notifications are a mess for small instances like this that has been federating with the big ones for years. I do not plan to install the addons until the next stable and documented release. Perhaps this may be a time to move to an instance that already has what you are looking for. Sorry, but everything is all finicky here.

You can even post them here. The instance is quite flexible since we do not have many members (very helpful for moderation).
To begin I’d suggest r/SouthAfricanLeft, r/AfricanLanguages, r/Oromia, r/PanAfricanists. Maybe more depending on how those go.
I have checked the code and I think this should be doable. I’ll run through a test in 24hrs with one sub and (de)scale from there.
