Symbolic appropriation is the modus operandi of fascism. That’s why the swastika, a former symbol of peace, is now one of the most widely known symbols of hate on the planet.
At this point I don’t think he considers himself anything other than entitled to put US and the world in his pocket =))

All the gaslighting from his supporters with “you can’t read his mind” “he’s autistic” and “it was a Roman salute/my heart goes out to you” is quite frankly an insult to people’s intelligence.

And the public (selected as partisan people) immediately cheered, without any confusion or protest.
People don’t show that enough. The public reaction is more important than the original gesture.

I read this as a call to action for the people Musk/Trump are ordering around. If everyone just said “no, I won’t to do what you tell me” then we might avoid the collapse of the government/economy/country.
You tell them no, you get replaced with a yes man. That’s been the pattern.
I think the person who originally posted it may have had that intent. I don’t know anything about them. But I’m skeptical that Musk’s retweet was for the same intent. 😀
This was my first reaction to him posting this. We know Leon hates a large portion of people, calling most parasites and such. He also does not think he is ever wrong and wouldn’t feel the need to defend himself by shifting blame, he would want the praise of ridding the world of people. He also fancies himself “clever” by saying things that mean something else and can then defect criticism with his great intellect and silly arguments. So this seems to be him telling people it would be ok to kill on his behalf and they need to be ready to do it. Of course he probably loves the idea of defending Nazis for funsies too.
