I’m torn, on one hand there is an enormously powerful police and military with a seemingly unlimited budget plus the judicial power to just lock people up for indefinite amount of time without a proper trial. On the other hand, the fact the FBI and police spent so much time and money thwarting leftist groups in the US suggests they saw them as a legitimate threat and therefore worried about revolution.

So in short. I don’t know.
