One that I’d like to see is a more in-depth sorting option for posts (allowing you to see for example top of December 2020, or top of a specific day). A custom date range selection would be best. I remember this being a frequently requested feature in the early days of reddit, and they never implemented it.

Hey, thanks for collecting user feedback! Here’s a few notes of mine over the last few days:

    • to discover forums, it would be useful to filter out (in default view) inactive communities, or maybe order by messages/week instead of by total subscribers?
    • creating a forum goes into a category, however i don’t know how to classify some that would fall into several categories… maybe it should be multiple tags per forum and not a single category?
    • i could not find a way to browse forums for a single category
    • it would be great to specify the language for a forum (on multi-language instances) where your user preferences would filter out languages you don’t speak when browsing communities / recent posts
    • cross-posting support is great after the fact, but the “create post” form should really have fields for “auto-crossposting”
    • when choosing a forum to post to, the search function doesn’t show which forums i’m subscribed to (maybe they should be higher in the results and/or bold)
    • i don’t find it easy to distinguish between when an article image (in list view) will take me to a newpage or expand an image (yes the icon is different but it’s a very small difference)

Thanks for maintaining lemmy, it’s really interesting!
