I said the opposite, actually, the problem is your work is your entire life. Jobs are there to enable you to live life. They are not your life. They are not what you do, they are the necessary component that allows you to do what you want to do because we live in a world that does not value human life.

Sounds about right for the average hiring manager. People don’t care about your organization. The incredibly inefficient system of capitalism they were born into requires them to exchange the unrenewable resource that is their time, the only thing they have in this universe, for arbitrarily valued currency which changes value constantly through no action they make, so they get the privilege of continuing to exchange their time for more of this currency, until their flesh suit is too broken to continue this exchange.

No one has ever been excited about working for your company. A few learned to fake it. A few simply aren’t capable of complex thought and treat working for your company the same way they’d treat a colonoscopy or birthday party because they literally can’t tell the difference.

Genuinely do it. Look up tactics rich people have used in court to delay their own tax cases. As long as you always respond to the court they won’t be able to issue an arrest, eliminating most risk. Statistically you can prolong audits and collection cases against you to a decade or more, for a fraction of the cost of paying taxes (assuming you make more than the standard deduction and actually owe taxes.

Stormworks. Obviously. The entire game is about engineering and designing vehicles to go on various rescue missions, or to go to space, or sometimes to mine oil… okay the devs have gone a bit off track from the original vision but the storms are still good for a voxel physics sandbox game.

You know what worker class needs corrected speech and translating but otherwise can be taught to do most office and entry level jobs? Outsourced workers.

Companies slowed outsourcing customer-facing positions due to backlash from obvious accents and poor cross-cultural training. AI has allowed them full steam ahead. While real time voice masking is a little expensive right now, AI chat agents are good enough to be used while having an outsourced worker listen in, feed ‘correct’ lines to the AI (or simply skip incorrect lines) and actually perform the actions.

GAN ML is also good enough, as it turns out, to figure out how to complete many office tasks with full desktop screen captures.

If you combine these two things, and add a little marketing spin, what you have is a very clear plan to eliminate 50-70% of labor cost in the US – that is the majority of customer service and office administration workers.

Right now it’s AI facing, (statistically) Indian outsourced agent backed solutions. Eventually those outsourced agents – which have the totality of their job recorded, every mouse click, every key press, every single word said to their coworkers and managers, every single blink, all to train AI – will be out of a job too.

Nevermind this ends capitalism, as without a consumer base there will be no companies, but oh wait, techbros and capitalists are pushing for UBI. . . Isn’t that weird they’d be pushing an objectively socialist idea… I wonder if that’s related.
