  • I never said they weren’t in the same category. To act like implying the risks of nitrates are identical to asbestos is insane and just makes people ignore these warnings.

There is a need to differentiate the level of risk because if you don’t people are going to think the 10,000kg bomb is the same danger as a Glock when in reality they abso-fucking-lutely not.

It’s disingenuous, you’re right that context matters because displaying the two as if they’re the same strips the risk assessment of its context.

  • They’re starting to erase the supposed tenants of conservative values, worshipping Regan and small government.

The small government stuff was always bullshit but until now he’s been able/forced to hide behind Regan conservatives. Now he’s conflicting with their jesus and doing it in a very overt way.

I do think attacks like this are highly effective because it forces their cognitive dissonance into scrutiny and it’s another chip in the brainwashing.

Many can be swayed like this though anyone who’s made it their identity is too far gone because they won’t accept logical arguments.

  • You really should learn more about drugs before you start throwing terminology around.

Weed doesn’t really fit the upper/downer dichotomy because cofactors like the various terpenes and cannabinoids other than THC.

It can have both stimulant and system depressant effects.

Unlike opium, marijuana usage has not been linked with overdose and isn’t anywhere near as addictive.

Thc has been implicated in exacerbating mental health issues like schizophrenia but it has not been linked with direct physical damage to our bodies. Besides smoking which obviously always carries a risk.

Regardless, your opium hyperbole is like comparing caffeine to meth amphetamine. It’s utterly ridiculous to anyone with any knowledge on the subject.

  • It depends on the situation and level of time investment.

If it’s someone you just met and immediately didn’t vibe with I think it’s fine, no time invested

If you’ve been on a date with them it’s kinda expected to turn them down. Time has been invested, if it’s a no don’t let them waste time.

If you run into them regularly it’s a bad idea regardless because leaving them on perpetual read with no resolution creates tension.

  • "You’re just a slave to desire, to avarice, to greed. Convinced you can work yourself to death and that one day the benevolent overlorda will reward you with happiness. "

Says the guy who opened with how much shit he owns and how young he was when it was given to him.

You’re not impressing me with your bourgeoisie denialism. It’s genuinely sad that you think you’re the opposite of what you actually are. You’re lying to yourself and it’s incredibly obvious.
