Public Transit Enjoyer -love the smell of urine at the stops and elevators -enjoy filthy music from a speaker in a fellow rider’s back pocket that is looking for confrontation -take in bit of cigarette smoke from someone who could care less and lights up in the cart.
I’ve had many good public transit experiences, when any of those happen it just sucks

I started at about 5th grade
I don’t think you’re going to run into much of that, so my advice is to not think that you’re going to be scared, but rather excited. You’re going to learn a lot of great skills, meet a lot of interesting people, and start a whole new phase of life. The people I know in the military benefit much more from lifting their peers up and working well as a team, than they do from putting one another down.
I leave it on and really like having it on. It’s nice to share with someone that I’ve read their message, and it also does not warrant a need to reply to anything.
It also eliminates the, “oh no just saw this” bs that I’ve noticed at times. If I see a message is read that was maybe time sensitive and do not get a reply, it’s fine and I can plan around that person.

Sometimes to prevent ease of travel for homeless or other loitering activities, sometimes because everyone wants to use tax money for their pet projects and it’s hard to excite people about sidewalks. These are just my guesses

Lost out on a good job opportunity with this one. I was going to do some interview prep and someone just told me to, “be yourself, they just want to get to know you.” Yeah bullshit… didn’t get that gig and did interview prep for a different opportunity. It went incredibly well the second time around.
Nice of them to not disclose the settle amount. Probably something along the lines of 20k… I wish I could settle billion dollar lawsuits with a few thousand dollars.
