With cross-play across all platforms, you and your friends can squad up no matter where you play — no Microsoft account required.
However, signing in with a Microsoft account unlocks full cross-platform functionality. It enables cross-progression, so your Campaign and multiplayer progress carries across devices. It also allows you to send invites and play with friends across platforms — like Xbox to PlayStation or Steam to Xbox.
Honestly, this is the way to handle the incorporation of platform-specific accounts; totally optional, but actually gives you a sensible benefit if you choose to go that route. Sony could learn a lot here.

Yeah, I moved from an old laptop to this. I love the low profile feel in general, and these Cherry switches take that up to 11. They are very smooth and still make a sound, but they aren’t super loud. Then the RGB lighting shines through the numbers/letters themselves, which looks very nice.
This is my first “good” keyboard, so I’m still working on what to use the G keys for. :)

The people in the White House are idiots. They choose Signal because they’re either dumb/negligent -or- because they have been intentionally avoiding record preservation requirements.
Signal is a solid app for sure, but these dipshits didn’t choose it for being the right tool for the job here, as it certainly is not.
There’s even a sub/channel/mag right here on Lemmy that does this. People vote on each week’s movie and then watch it together. Pretty fun.

Yeah, I’ve been playing around with some of the AI coding assistants as accelerators for data science projects. The one thing I’ve learned above all else is that this tech can speed up the process of coding, but it absolutely cannot replace computer scientists and engineers.
If you don’t actually understand coding, AI will give you stuff that runs, but fucks up key details and/or doesn’t actually do the thing you’re asking correctly. It’s hella dangerous.
There’s a whole series of Xbox controllers like this. I have the clear one and it’s fucking dope.
