Slay the Spire: it’s the same game as on PC or any other medium. Fantastic game. Obviously costs the same as other places (about $10), but well worth it!
Pokemon TCG Pocket. I started early with this, so I have had no problem with being F2P, but I’m sure that late adopters would need to pay some amount to become competitive. Still should be playable F2P, though. Anyways, it’s amazingly unintrusive when it comes to real money transactions. No interrupting ads and you basically have to search for the in-game shop to find the microtransactions.
Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic. This one might have changed since I got it ~8 years ago. It’s a pretty good mobile version of the original game. I’ve spent a lot of time with this game.
I used to have a US citizenship. I have family in the states. But there is no way in hell that I’m travelling to the states while the border control are ordered to deny people access due to content on people’s phones.
The PR for Cracker Barrel is off the hooks as of lately. Previously I had no idea what Cracker Barrel was and I had never heard of it. But now… I still have no idea what it is, but I have heard of it.
Do a viking funeral. You know, that ceremony where you are sent out in a boat and a fire arrow is fired into the boat so it burns down while floating into the sunset.
But skip the boat. Have someone chuck you into the ocean and shoot arrows at you until you sink.
I don’t understand why bubbles with seemingly random positions was chosen to represent this data.
I think both (counting from the top) number 2 and 4 are placed correctly.
As cars become more autonomous, it leaves room for you to do other things. So why not add something to let you work out while driving? Like a cycling machine or treadmill which generates power to drive the car.
It feels like a good amount of effort. I appreciate that.
Also bottle caps sucks
Sure, I accidentally use AI and LLM interchangeably. But I believe the point still stands. If they were asked to trace the source of the price difference, it likely exists within layers upon layers of training data aimed at maximizing profits, and it would probably be impossible to give an answer as to what data has been used to produce the result in the long run.
I have predicted this for a while now. As this will take effect, the airline no longer have responsibility for what sets the prices. The AI could for instance become very racist, driving prices through the roof for colored people if it somehow determines that well-paying racist customers will pay more to fly with only white people. Several scenarios like that could unfold, and since LLMs are basically impossible to get the source values for their decissions, no one can be held responsible for such choices.
Oh, and I’m sure the data from 23andMe will be abused soon to ensure that only healthy people get good prices. The personal data which “didn’t matter that we shared” is about to unfold.
It would instead instantly make it extremely obvious how uneven my floor is.
Norwegians complaining/bragging about high alcohol prices is basically a meme. But it’s true that prices have shaped the way we treat going out and partying. BYOB is fully expected at private parties unless anything else is announced. People rarely head out to nightclubs without being properly boozed up from a preparty at someones home. A store bought 0.5L beer could be as low as $2-$3, while a beer at a bar or a club is expected to be ~$12 at a very minimum, but typically slightly above $15.
In Norway. Technically in a city, but it’s very rural. About 30 minutes of walking with a descent of ~150 meters. Carrying groceries back up that hill is a big test of stamina, so we very rarely do it. We mostly drive to the store.
Your friend is full of shit. 3km is a very long distance for walking to get groceries, and I can imagine that you have to deprioritize heavier groceries all the time due to that distance. I’d recommend getting a bike or electic scooter or something to cover that distance. Basically no one in Norway would have 3km to their nearest store with walking as their only option.
I have one that is smart, and you are spot on. It was nice to use in the beginning to get an idea of what pressure is recommended and time spent on each section. But I have uninstalled and been running app free for several years now - with zero issues.
I think you might be mixing up with the skateboarder.
I’m so happy to have grown up in a country where not learning to cook isn’t an option.
Just cancelled mine. I have barely been doing ~2 games per year, and the cost was low enough for me to not really care about the months I didn’t play at all.
But a price increase is the straw.
