Could be worth looking into Misophonia. Basically it’s an irrational anger response to specific noises that vary person to person. I don’t know enough about it to say how it can be dealt with, but it may be something you could find a specialist for.

I wanted to say that’s not what ‘anti-hero’ means, but I kind of see where you’re coming from. In my mind, an anti-hero does terrible stuff to achieve good goals (Deadpool being a prime example), while John McClaine does do some pretty vicious things, but is more or less just trying to survive, not because he wants to do the terrible things.
“This thing doesn’t have a single horse? What’s up with that?!”
I’m assuming this is more a comment on the modern news cycle than about Reddit. Hell, most things barely last a few days outside of their immediate time frame, let alone a week.
Everyone has “custom” pronouns. Some just match possible preconceived notions about them.
Far Cry 3 was so frustratingly dumb and yet so popular. The gameplay was fine, but everyone was blowing up about the stupid ass sub-villain with his Philosophy 101 ”zingers" in “White, suburban YA saves ‘savages’ from themselves with horrendous war crimes” the game. It was really irritating.

C’mon man
I never said anything about feminism or that they were bad. I’m just making an observation on the situation here. I also don’t think it’s unreasonable for a person to share an interesting personal experience on a forum designed to share exactly that. And he doesn’t sound “slighted” to me. More amused than anything, because it’s an amusing story.
Gonna be another spike in the next week, so probably not soon, but it will die down.
I feel like “mansplaining” has lost all meaning. It used to be about men going out of their way to correct someone that didn’t need correcting, particularly if they were wrong themselves, and most often with women. Now people use it on men just…saying things to anyone.
I get that people are touchy on the subject, and I respect anyone’s right to not want or need help. I think how Mr. Solomon handled it was correct - ask if they want your input and respect their answer. It’d just be nice if people didn’t use cultural memes to dismiss others out of hand.
Good time to reiterate - Never talk to the police. They are not your friend. Anything you say will be used against you. They will do anything they can get away with to get an admission, or just steal your property because they can.
Don’t Talk to The Police (lecture featuring a lawyer and a retired cop detailing why it will never help to talk).
The soundtrack to Sayonara Wild Hearts is killer. Love that game.
They would still control it more than they did in Netflix, so it’s still upside in their eyes.
