I think so? I’m not sure if I’ve been to the Fediverse yet, I’m not even entirely sure I’ve been to Lemmy yet, to be honest. I appreciate the well wishes nonetheless. Have a good one

I’m not a scientist, but I think the question you’re asking is the question they’re seeking to answer by searching for life in these places. There isn’t an assumption that if it had liquid water it may have had life (that statement alone inherently isn’t an assumption), they are searching for any evidence of life on Mars because A) it’s the closest and easiest planet to get to and B) while we know in what conditions life on Earth arose, we can’t be sure the same conditions are necessary somewhere else, for life that possibly may not be carbon based.
I kinda figure that the pole isn’t secure in the ground, like whoever installed it did it poorly and not deep enough into the ground. When you back up into it, it begins to tip over until you have the top under the car. When you try going forward, it rights itself. I’ve seen something similar with different kinds of poles and when they are upright, they look completely fine.
I figure that if you backed up with enough force to drive up the pole, the bumper would be more damaged.
They’re saying that people who are buying these sorts of vehicles on Craigslist would pay so much more money for such a simple addition. It’s kind of like how people in the early 2000’s would add a rear wing to their car and call it a sports car; if you add a snorkel, it’s now a off-road vehicle and worth much more in those peoples eyes.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised but shit, man.
Why is this guy being downvoted? Is there an implication of Folgers endorsing Trump? Is it implied that his liking Folgers is because of their Trump endorsement?
I’m genuinely asking, I’m hella out of the loop
I fully expected it to stick a fork in that socket
Don’t they have his foreskin saved as a religious artefact? Like in some church somewhere because it performs miracles?
This seems like some shit dudes from 10,000 years ago would be doing
Did you get recommended that video too??
Well, have you tried?
This is only tangentially related, hopefully someone else here knows, are the newer fleet vehicles coming out still barebones? It might be a consideration if so
Isn’t the wallet thing kinda backwards though? Like, it’s not as if we all had wallets perfectly sized to carry this kind of paper money before the paper dollar was introduced.
I figure that if coins had been the predominant form of currency for at least the past century, we’d have a great way to carry coins other than a pouch, and paper money would be inconvenient.
They have camo litter boxes
I think most people here agree with you, it’s just that the way you’re speaking to them comes off as judgemental and kinda mean, so they respond accordingly.
I think he’s saying that, for as futuristic as Japan may seem, they also still rely on outdated methods for certain things, just like every other country.
Can you just imagine being able to see what is available on all services from one interface, all at once, and then start a stream of it seamlessly from whichever you movie profile page you have access to?
When I was little, we used to have a box plugged into the CRT TVs of the time that, when connected to a network, would allow you access to something similar to what you’re saying. Typically, you’d be able to open an electronic program guide to see a menu that displayed all the different services that you’re subscribed to and be able to switch between streams seamlessly. Granted, the biggest difference is that the individual service providers had a set schedule as to what was streaming at the time, so if you missed content scheduled at a certain time, you’d hope they’d rebroadcast it at some point.
Maybe we could have something similar, but with the ability to pick anything from each individual service providers’ library on demand?
Although there was a problem with this system, but I don’t really remember what it was. The service providers banded together and started raising prices, I think? But, then again, aren’t they doing something similar now?
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Sure, but I don’t think it’s meant to be foolproof, it sounds like a great way to start
