I assume work friends here means coworkers you get along with at work, not life-friends you met there.
For a time, yes.
But after a certain point, when you’ve crossed enough experiences you want off your bucket list, you have a better understanding of what works best for you. I am personally a JOMO type, and while I do get a twinge of ‘what about’ thinking occasionally when I see a couple walking together, or a group of people out together, it only lasts a few seconds because I know damn well I’m happier alone.
