GrapheneOS has Storage Scopes which allow you to define which folders an app can access. In this case, you’d give your media app access to that folder but not your gallery app. Pretty handy but it’s only on Pixels and one Motorola phone at the moment.

I’m running graphene. I guess I over permissioned the gallery though lol
